How do payouts work on Troveo?

Last updated: February 19, 2026

After your footage has been successfully ingested, Troveo brings your content to market through a range of licensing deals with AI clients.

Some payout specifics to keep in mind:

  • Payouts only occur when your content is licensed.
Uploading or ingesting content does not generate payment. Licensing is determined on a deal-by-deal basis, and not every piece of footage will be included in every deal.

  • Licensing deals take time.
There is no fixed payout schedule. Payments occur only after your content has been licensed, the client has been invoiced, and payment has been received.

  • You can track accepted hours and licensing activity in your Troveo portal.
Log in and select “Delivery and Earnings” from the left-hand menu to view licensed content, associated deals, and payment status.

If no content appears on this page, it simply means your footage has not yet been licensed. Troveo continues to work on multiple deals that may include your content in future opportunities.

Payouts are processed through our third-party vendor, Tipalti. To receive payments from Troveo, you'll need to complete your payment setup directly in your Troveo portal. Simply go to the "Submit Content" tab and tap "Get Started" under "Payment Setup" to enter your tax and bank details. Once completed, all payments will be sent directly through Tipalti.
